What is a brushed motor?
When the motor is working, the coil and commutator rotate, while the magnet and carbon brush do not rotate. The alternating direction of the coil current is achieved by the inverter and carbon brush that rotate with the motor. Brushed motors have relatively greater power compared to brushless motors, with fewer wires, only one positive and one negative wire. If the motor is reversed, simply swap the positions of the two wires to complete it. In the electric vehicle industry, brushed motors are divided into high-speed brushed motors and low-speed brushed motors. There are many differences between brushed motors and brushless motors, and the simplest way to distinguish them is that brushed motors have carbon brushes, while brushless motors do not have carbon brushes. But brushed motors have high noise levels, and currently brushed motors have been basically eliminated.

The DC power supply supplies power to the stator winding of the motor through a switch circuit. Three position sensors (commonly known as Hall sensors) detect the position of the rotor at any time and control the conduction and cutoff of six switch tubes based on the position signal of the rotor, thereby automatically controlling which winding is energized and the direction of energization, thus achieving electronic commutation.
Brushless and toothless motors are currently one of the most widely used motors in electric vehicles, widely used by electric vehicle manufacturers due to their long lifespan, relatively simple structure, and no noise. Brushless motors can be divided into 60 degree angle, 120 degree angle, and 180 degree angle, and the controller angle should also match them. Otherwise, the new controller and motor will not work properly. Pay special attention to angle issues when repairing or replacing.
