The torque principle of brushless DC motor that you don't know。

Customers often have specific requirements for the torque of DC brushless motors when consulting. The torque (or torque) of the motor is generated through the interaction between the internal current and magnetic field of the motor. Today, Jinyuan Electromechanical will comprehensively explain the main types of motors and their torque generation principles.

Motor manufacturer
1. DC motor
DC motor
Working principle: Generate current by applying a direct current voltage in the current path.
Torque generation: When current passes through the motor coil (usually the stator), torque is generated in the magnetic field, causing the motor to rotate.

Brushless DC Motor (BLDC Motor)

Working principle: Use permanent magnets (usually on the rotor) to generate a magnetic field that interacts with the current on the stator.
Torque generation: By changing the direction and magnitude of the current, the motor rotates.

2. AC motor
Induction motor (asynchronous motor)
Working principle: An alternating current is applied to the stator to generate a rotating magnetic field.
Torque generation: The rotating magnetic field induces current in the rotor, which generates torque due to relative motion, causing the rotor to rotate.

synchronous motor
Working principle: It operates synchronously with an external alternating power source.
Torque generation: The magnetic field synchronization between the stator and rotor generates torque to drive the motor to rotate.

3. Stepper motor
Electromagnetic stepper motor
Working principle: Rotation is achieved by alternately switching the current of electromagnetic coils on different phases.
Torque generation: Current flows through the coil to generate a magnetic field, which interacts with the magnetic poles on the rotor to drive it to rotate.

Permanent magnet stepper motor
Working principle: Utilizing permanent magnets fixed on the rotor.
Torque generation: By changing the phase of the current, the interaction between the permanent magnet and the coil is controlled to generate torque.

4. Reluctance motor
Working principle: Generate torque by utilizing changes in magnetic resistance.
Torque generation: When the stator is energized, the rotor rotates to the position with the lowest magnetic resistance, thereby generating torque.

5. Linear motor
Working principle: It can be regarded as the "unfolded" form of a regular rotating motor.
Torque generation: Directly generating linear motion instead of rotational motion, producing linear thrust instead of rotational torque.
