How long can a brushless motor last?
What is the service life of brushless motors? How long can a brushless motor last? When asked by someone as cautious as the editor, it's not easy to give you an immediate answer to this question. We need to analyze the reasons. There are several factors that need to be analyzed: there are factors related to the motor itself; The factor of human operation; There are environmental factors involved

1、 There are three aspects related to the self factors of brushless motors:
1. Bearing lifespan (once the bearing is damaged, it needs to be replaced)
2. Magnetic steel demagnetization (this is not feasible unless you know how to magnetize)
3. Coil problem (Generally, the aging time is more than 10 years. How to avoid coil aging? This requires the coil not to be too hot and to ensure good heat dissipation, which can increase its lifespan. Overheating and burning out also belong to this category.)
It can be seen that bearings and coils are quite important for the lifespan of brushless motors. Don't think that a small motor occupies a small and inconspicuous position in the equipment. If you purchase a low-end quality motor, and the materials used in low-end brand motors such as bearings and coils are also of poor quality, once there is a problem, the equipment needs to replace the motor, and the motor needs to replace the bearings and coils
Thinking about it makes me feel troublesome.
2、 Due to differences in the technical level of personnel operating the motor, there may be unexpected errors when operating the motor, such as stopping immediately after starting, which is caused by human factors; Overload starting; Starting under fault conditions can cause damage to the brushless motor, thereby affecting its service life. Although the many advantages of brushless motors have attracted more and more users, I strongly recommend that users who do not understand brushless motors should use familiar motors or use them under the guidance of motor manufacturers.
3、 Environmental factors
Brushless motors should be used in a ventilated, dry, non corrosive gas environment with normal temperature and pressure. If there are corrosive gases and high humidity in harsh environments, it is easy to damage the electrical and mechanical performance of the motor due to environmental factors. So, corresponding motor protection measures must be taken according to environmental conditions.
So, when asked how long can a brushless motor last? This is really difficult to answer too arbitrarily, as its lifespan is indeed related to many factors. Of course, motors with good quality are inevitably more durable than motors with poor quality.
