Advantages of brushless motors
1. Brushless motors are brushless and have low interference

2. Brushless motors have low noise and operate smoothly

3. Brushless motors have a long lifespan and low maintenance costs

Brushless motors lack brushes, and the wear of brushless motors is mainly on the bearings. From a mechanical perspective, brushless motors are almost maintenance free motors, and when necessary, only some dust removal maintenance is needed. Comparing up and down reveals the advantages of brushless motors over brushed motors, but nothing is absolute. Brushed motors have excellent low-speed torque performance and high torque, which are irreplaceable by brushless motors. Disadvantages of brushed motors
1. Brushed motors have high friction and significant losses

Old model friends have encountered this problem when playing with brushed motors in the past, which is that after using the motor for a period of time, they need to turn on the motor to clean the carbon brush, which is time-consuming and laborious, and the maintenance intensity is no less than a home cleaning.


2. Brushed motors generate high heat and have a short lifespan

Due to the structural reasons of brushed motors, the contact resistance between the brush and commutator is high, resulting in a high overall resistance of the motor and easy heating. Permanent magnets are thermal sensitive components, and if the temperature is too high, the magnetic steel will demagnetize, causing a decrease in motor performance and affecting the lifespan of brushed motors.


3. Brushed motors have low efficiency and low output power
The heating problem of brushed motors mentioned above is largely due to the current doing work on the internal resistance of the motor, so electrical energy is largely converted into heat energy. Therefore, the output power and efficiency of brushed motors are not high.
