5 Precautions for Wiring and Installing Hollow Cup Motors.
Hollow cup motors are widely used in many products in daily life. When professional engineers test and install, it feels very simple. Some customers who are using hollow cup motors for the first time may encounter many problems when repairing or replacing motor wiring due to improper operation. Below are 5 precautions for installing hollow cup motor wiring:
1. Remove the motor unit from the packaging box or avoid pulling or pulling the lead wires forcefully during the welding process. It is also not allowed to bend the lead wires at large angles multiple times, otherwise it may damage the lead wires.

2. When inspecting or testing the locked rotor current of a column motor, the locked rotor time should not be too long (less than 5 seconds is recommended), because during locked rotor, all input power is converted into thermal energy (P=I2R). Prolonged time may cause the coil temperature to rise too high and deform, affecting performance.
3. The hollow cup motor has good comprehensive performance when operating at its nominal rated voltage, and the working voltage should be designed as close as possible to the rated voltage when designing the circuit. The control module that supplies power to the motor should consider minimizing its output impedance to prevent a significant drop in output voltage during load, which can affect vibration inductance.
4. Pay attention to the welding temperature and time during wiring and welding. It is recommended to use 320 ℃ for 1-2 seconds. Prolonged time and high temperature may damage the insulation of the lead wires.
5. When designing the positioning slot of a hollow cup motor with an installation bracket, the gap between the motor and the housing should not be too large, otherwise additional vibration (mechanical noise) may occur. Using a rubber sleeve to fix it can effectively avoid mechanical noise, but attention should be paid to the interference fit between the positioning slot and the rubber sleeve on the housing, otherwise it will affect the vibration output of the motor and reduce the vibration sensation. When transferring or using, avoid approaching strong magnetic areas, otherwise it may cause magnetic distortion of the motor magnetic steel meter and affect performance.
