There are many types of servos that are suitable for different environments. For the motors inside the servos, there are three options: DC brushed motors, hollow cup brushless motors, and stepper motors. The choice can be based on the price of the product.
In toys and low-cost models (such as remote-controlled cars), a
DC brushed motor can be used as the power source for the servo, which can be equipped with a DC brushed motor at a cost of 2-5 yuan.
Hollow cup brushless motors can be used in drones, lightweight robots, and professional grade equipment. Their lightweight, fast response, high efficiency, and long lifespan can provide sufficient protection for the equipment, but the cost is relatively expensive, ranging from 30-80 yuan to match.
In 3D printers and precision positioning systems, stepper motors can be used to achieve precise angle control, but they need to be paired with closed-loop drives. The procurement cost of stepper motors is moderate, ranging from 3 to 30.
At the same time, when selecting the motor that is compatible with the servo, factors such as motor size, performance, lifespan, and noise need to be taken into consideration. The higher the adaptability of the motor, the better and more durable the servo performance.
