Common faults and solutions of brushless DC motors.
DC brushless motor is a very important component, even if its quality is good and stability is guaranteed, it is inevitable that certain faults will occur during long-term use. In fact, many motors have common faults that are very easy to handle. Below is a summary of common faults and solutions.

Driver malfunction
If the purchased motor can be driven and used normally, but the driver malfunctions later on, it is mostly due to the influence of the working environment, which is caused by similar problems such as electrostatic discharge. Generally, the PE in the electrical cabinet can be directly grounded to solve such problems. If it still cannot be restored to use, it may be due to damage to the drive module and needs to be replaced.
Inaccurate positioning of the transmission system
If the positioning accuracy of the transmission system is inaccurate during normal use of the DC brushless motor, it may be due to problems with the components of the transmission system or incorrect installation of some nuts. So it is necessary to stop using the equipment first, then reinstall the nuts, etc., and inspect all parts to restore the normal use of the motor.
Incorrect return to reference point
The motor cannot return to the reference point operation correctly, possibly because the machine tool uses an NPN type proximity switch. Generally, replacing the positive logic proximity switch is sufficient. It is recommended to consider these aspects when installing the motor, and special attention should be paid to testing. Only after testing is successful can the motor be used.
Once the motor malfunctions, it directly affects the normal operation of the equipment, so repair and maintenance are still crucial. Due to different factors causing faults in brushless DC motors, the situation may vary to some extent. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out motor maintenance according to the actual situation to ensure the restoration of use.
