Protection measures for brushless DC motors.
Proper use of brushless DC motors can prolong their lifespan. Motors play a crucial role in many devices and sometimes involve the entire equipment. The motor needs to be properly protected to minimize damage.
1. If the load on the brushless DC motor is too large, or if the motor is used improperly, it can cause high current and burn out the power transistor. In order to protect the driver from damage caused by current exceeding specifications, it is generally necessary to increase the power transistor's withstand current or apply current as protection for the motor.
2. When the load of a brushless DC motor is not small, the energy and overvoltage sent back from the motor end to the driver when it stops rotating will endanger the driver. This can be prevented by combining an overvoltage protection circuit with a regenerative energy dissipation circuit. Judging and issuing timely warnings by the control department is sufficient.
