How to choose the appropriate robot motor?
There is no specific rule to follow when choosing the driving motor for a mobile robot. Generally speaking, the choice of motor depends largely on the physical characteristics of the load, the working characteristics of the load, system requirements, and the working environment. The selection of motors for mobile robots should take into account the following factors:

(1) Choose motor type: Select the type of motor based on the requirements of the mobile robot's operating road conditions for motor starting, braking, reversing, speed regulation, torque, etc.
(2) Determine the structural form of the motor: Determine the structural form of the motor based on the environmental conditions of the location where the mobile robot is used, such as temperature, humidity, dust, rainwater, explosion-proof, etc.
(3) Determine voltage level: Determine the voltage level of the motor based on parameters such as voltage and current of the mobile robot power supply.
(4) Determine the output torque of the motor: Determine the output torque of the motor based on the load torque and its variation range, as well as the reduction ratio of the reduction mechanism. The continuous torque of the motor is greater than 1.2~1.3 times the load torque.
(5) Determine the speed range: Determine the speed range of the motor based on the performance requirements such as the driving speed of the mobile robot and the reduction ratio of the deceleration mechanism.
(6) Determine motor power: Determine the rated power of the motor based on parameters such as output torque, speed range, overload capacity, etc.
(7) Verify the moment of inertia of the motor rotor: The ratio of load inertia to motor rotor inertia should be less than 5:1.
In addition to the above points, it is also necessary to comprehensively consider the reliability of motor operation, the universality of spare parts, the difficulty of installation and maintenance, as well as various economic indicators such as product price, operating costs, and maintenance costs, in order to achieve safe operation and energy conservation.
